Considering Community College?

1. Why choose community college over a 4-year university?
- Most people who go to community college instead of a 4-year university are sensitive about money, and are well aware of the debt they can easily accumulate at a university.
- CCs are also very flexible, especially if you are unsure what career you want to pursue.
- CCs are especially helpful for full-time students who want to work on the side.

2. Are community college courses easier than ones at a university?
No. If anything, the difficulty of the class depends on the professor, not the school.

  1. Community college is a great option. It's a less pricey option to get your general classes if you're planning on transferring to a university.

  2. Also, CC is a great option if you were not accepted into your major at a 4 year university. Transferring can be easier to be accepted at a later time and it is less impacted fr transfer students!

  3. 1. Community colleges is for someone who doesn't have the benefits of others to apply for a 4 Year university whether it be money concerns or just simply not having good grades. Community colleges offer flexibility and transferring over somewhere else whenever you have finished what is required from your major.
2.Community colleges tend to have easier courses than the ones at the University level due to having more opportunities to support you. Also, there are not as much difficult courses to take and its not like in University where you have to pay attention at all times to learn something new.

  4. For all you nursing majors, CCs are a great alternative start, due to how impacted the major is for universities. In two years you can get your general education and associates degree in Nursing. Then, transfer as a RN to a university for your BSN, with a higher chance of getting accepted.

  5. I totally agree with everything here. Community colleges are a great way to save lots of money for the same amount of education you can get at a UC or Cal State.
